Sydney Alie, 22, was raised in the Mile High City of Denver, Colorado. She put on her first pair of ballet shoes at the age of 3 and began dancing competitively at 5 for MPACT Dance Academy, traveling the country and winning national and regional titles and awards.
At 18, Sydney moved to New York and graduated from the Steps on Broadway Professional Conservatory Program, where she trained under notable industry professionals in dance, vocal, and acting.
Sydney recently completed a year-long contract with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line in the hit Broadway show "Grease The Musical" as an ensemble dancer and understudy (Marty Maraschino, Patty Simcox, and Cha Cha DiGregorio). She then set sail as a principal dancer, guest artist and associate choreographer for Virgin Voyages.
Sydney appears in Season 4 of "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" as a principal dancer, working with Emmy-winning choreographer Marguerite Derricks. She was involved in the pre-production of "Schmigadoon" Season 2 and the upcoming Broadway show "Death Becomes Her" with Tony Award-winning choreographer Christopher Gatelli.
When Sydney is not performing, she travels the country as an assistant and teacher for New York City Dance Alliance. She loves working with the next generation of dancers and has found a new passion for creating and teaching while on the road.
